When a septic system has a problem, most homeowners are not sure whether they are looking at a small repair or a big one. That is exactly where we start. We diagnose the system correctly, tell you what we found, and give you the choice to move forward with us or not.
Our approach: we are the doctor telling you the symptoms
We do not push work. Our job is to tell you what is wrong, lay out the right ways to fix it, and let you decide. Many of our customers have had other companies out two or three times without getting the problem solved. We would rather take the time to find the real cause than sell a repair that does not fix it.
Common septic tank repairs we handle
- Baffle tee replacement: broken or missing baffles let solids flow out of the tank toward the drain field
- Septic lid replacement and tank access: damaged or unsafe lids, and risers so the tank is easy to reach
- Tail-out pipe and main line repair: broken, root-intruded, or separated pipes between the house, the tank, and the field
- Cleanouts: installing cleanouts so future service does not require digging
- Tank problems found during pumping: cracks, deterioration, or inlet and outlet issues
- Root problems: roots in the system are one of the most common causes of slow drains and backups
What to expect when you call
Most of our sales happen on the phone, so call us and tell us what you are seeing. We will ask a few questions about the symptoms, the type of system, and the location. From there we schedule a visit, diagnose the problem, and give you a clear estimate. We call ahead about an hour before we arrive.
If your system also needs a pump-out or a line cleaning, we can often handle it in the same visit.
A note on permits
In Georgia, repairs, replacements, and additions to an existing onsite sewage system must be permitted and inspected through your county environmental health office. We will tell you if the repair you need falls under that requirement.
How a One Way Septic Visit Works
- You call. A real person answers, asks a few questions about what you are seeing, and gives you the basic price over the phone when it applies.
- We call ahead. About an hour before we arrive, so you can plan your day around the visit.
- We diagnose before we sell. We look at the system, explain what we found in plain language, and lay out your options.
- You decide. If you only need the basics, that is all you pay for. If more work is needed, we explain why.
